Ohhhh!!!! Beautiful Romania

It's a dream!!! A wish of mine, to go to Europe - to take a trip down the lanes of Italy, sitting in the cafes and sipping on some cream latte, or heading towards the Eiffel Tower in Paris, and visiting the Nossa Senyhora chapel in France. Seeing the bullfight in Spain would be something, and then going to St.Mark's Basilica in Venice, many call it "Heaven on Earth" and it sure is, because it looks so beautiful in print. I will fulfill my dream, but till some months ago I just thought about the Western Europe, and felt it was the best. Never though much about East Europe, but I did know a couple of places, like Transylvania and I know about due to a famous horror movie. I thought of it more as a grassland, and not much until i came across this beautiful paradise on earth called Romania.

Starting with the beautiful Carpathian mountains where you would want to go, if you like to trek because it is a wild walking wonderland. The place is a haven for trekkers, as the vast green stretches of  forest cover the path you walk through with the grass singing music to your feet. Its a grassland, but it just falls in place before your eyes, the ground and the sky. Green and blue mixing making the day gay, and in the distance is a tiny house amongst the scenery.
as normally a scenery depicts. As you go through the forest trials, you see the true beauty of nature - in all of its splendour. Great vegetation, flowers and berries , which can be eaten fresh from the trees . So your walk would give something natural to cherish.

And while you going walking on these trails, what you see along the slopes are beautiful white sheep, being herded and feeding on the grass, with the shepherds watching them . I too had a wish to become a shepherd, such a great job, walking on the picturesque hillside everyday and tending sheep while seeing these mountains blooming all over. Wouldn't that be something!!! Living off the natural delights, and content in my life. The shepherds bring their sheep up to the slopes at the beginning of  summer and go back to the plains before the end of winter , to make products like milk, butter, and clothes from wool, to keep as reserves for the winter. Time stands still as you are taken back to the life of the old days, where much of the work is done by hand, and by heart, and in a right pace, not too fast and neither too slow.

Romania is not just grasslands and forests , but since the majority of its population is Christian, there are many churches in Romania. These churches were different , in the sense the churches were fortresses and they still are standing as they are - like fortresses. They had not only their perpose in religion, but also they had a hand in protection and security. The details of history would tell you more about it. However, there is one taking that you take from this architecture, and that is that the people out here liked to live kingsize. The castles and palaces are splendid and huge. even a house that i have seen  has huge pillars and the chairs look like as if giants sat on them, with the beautiful house surrounded by the green lands and blue skies. There are Eastern Orthodox churches which are very brightly painted and have pictures telling stories from the Bible. the brighly painted churches are beautiful to look at, and they taught the people who were not educated about God through pictures.  Romania also has the place called Transylvania, which has been mentioned in many movies, being the birtplace of Vlad the Impaler and the inspiration for Bram Stokers novel on Dracula. This place is now a famous tourist place for tourists with millions coming to visit the homeland of Count Dracula.

Romania has 26 percent of its country as natural land, and when I say natural land I mean land that is complete forest and vegetation and also is a natural reserve and part of their heritage. when you see Romania , you will see that there is a
certain natural beauty that you may not get elsewhere. LIke you would see a bear stolling near human settlements, the settlements well spaced apart, and also besides bears, you would see deers and wolves roaming around these areas and there is an ecological balance because though man lives in the forest, he just takes enough to provide for himself so that
the balance reamins for him to continue survival, a unique thing to see in these days.Romania has been called " the last bastion for ecological balance". People of this place are fighting to save this place and even sacrificing for it. In other parts of the world, people have been indifferent and the rampage to destroy the environment continues, it's not the case here. people are taking the effort to protect their environment , and making the world a better place.

The Dream of going to Romania is always on the mind, and I will go there and once I go there and visit this place and see the reality of  Romania, I will come back , and bring back everything with me - except fot one thing, my heart which I will bury in the deep ground so that nobody will take it away and my love would grow from it into a beautiful huge oak. Adios!!!
